Usage & Application

When to Use

• Routine Maintenance & Water Changes: Add during routine water changes to replenish essential electrolytes lost over time.

• Disease & Parasite Treatment: Use as a supportive treatment during outbreaks of Ich (whitespot), velvet, or external fungal/bacterial infections.

• Stress Recovery & Acclimatisation: Administer when adding new fish or after handling/netting to reduce stress and prevent shock.

• Nitrite Poisoning Prevention: Helps prevent nitrite toxicity by blocking nitrite absorption at the gill membranes during biological filter cycling.

How to Use

1. Dissolve the required amount of salt in a small container of aquarium water before adding it to the tank.

2. Standard Electrolyte & Stress Dosing: Add 1 rounded tablespoon (approx. 13 g) for every 19 L (5 US gallons) or 1 level teaspoon per 3.8 L (1 US gallon) of aquarium water.

3. Important Note: Salt does not evaporate and is only removed through water changes. Only add salt for the volume of new water replaced during water changes.

4. Do not use in planted tanks with delicate plant species or with scaleless fish species sensitive to salinity without testing dosage.
