Fluval Ammonia Pads (SKU: FA144) are specialised resin-infused chemical pads engineered for Fluval 106, 107, 206, and 207 canister filters. Infused with ammonia-reducing ion-exchange resin, these pads bind toxic free ammonia on contact. Designed as a preventive or rapid-response measure, they protect fish against chemical stress, gill damage, and ammonia spikes in smaller 06/07 series canister filters. Designed specifically for Fluval 106, 107, 206, and 207 performance canister filters, Ammonia Remover pads offer both effective mechanical and chemical media in a convenient, space-saving format.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• New Tank Setup: Insert during initial aquarium setup to control ammonia surges during nitrogen cycle establishment.

• Heavy Stocking or Overfeeding: Use when bio-load increases or following accidental overfeeding.

• Emergency Toxin Removal: Apply immediately if testing reveals detectable ammonia levels.

How to Use

1. Power off the filter and open the Fluval 106/107 or 206/207 media cassette.

2. Place the Ammonia Pad in the middle or upper filtration tray.

3. Rinse briefly with tap water before placement to clear loose media dust. This entire process should be done after medicating fish.

4. For best results, replace monthly or as required after testing water. Replace monthly or immediately after resolving an emergency ammonia surge. For freshwater use only.
