Aquasonic Bactonex 100ml (SKU: AQS07) is a preventative antiseptic treatment and a broad-spectrum antibacterial treatment formulated to combat common bacterial diseases, fungal, and protozoal infections in freshwater aquarium fish. It is suitable for use in both freshwater and marine fish-only aquariums and is especially useful during water changes, when introducing new fish, or within quarantine systems. It effectively targets fin and tail rot, bacterial mouth rot, body ulcers, cloudy eye, and red sores. Bactonex helps stop bacterial cell wall synthesis, halting the progression of tissue breakdown and helping fish regenerate damaged fins and skin.

Precautionary Note: This product is not safe for corals or invertebrates. Activated carbon must be removed from filtration systems before treatment.

Usage & Application

When to Use

• During regular water changes or when introducing new fish to an aquarium. In quarantine tanks.

• Bacterial Infections: At the first signs of external infection, treat fish showing ragged or fraying fins, reddened body sores, open ulcers, or cloudy eyes.

• Secondary Bacterial Attack: Use following parasitic or fungal infections to clear lingering bacterial pathogens from damaged skin.

How to Use

1. Remove active carbon filtration and turn off UV sterilisers prior to application.

2. Shake the bottle well.

3. Dosage Rate: Add 5 mL per 20 L of aquarium water.

4. Repeat dosage every 3-5 days as required until bacterial symptoms clear.

5. Perform a 25% water change on completion of treatment before replacing filter carbon.

Additional Guidelines

• Always remove activated carbon from filters before starting treatment.

• Never use in aquariums containing corals or invertebrates without removing activated carbon.

• Ensure adequate aeration and filtration at the time of treatment

• Keep aquarium hygiene good to improve effectiveness
